WHAT’S UP WITH THE NAME?
We wanted something different, something unique, something that would still connect with the wine biz but without being so ‘WINE’ related in the name. Some of you will have seen the word block labelled on some wines out there, wine growers will refer to certain paddocks of grapes as BLOCKS. We liked it and it stuck, oh and the 78 is the vintage that the big cheese (Owner) was cut from.
HOW CAN YOU SELL WINE WITH SUCH GREAT VALUE?
We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that we are getting a great deal and then we pass those savings onto to you and the Block Crew wine drinking legends. The more wine we buy the better the deals are, the more wine we sell the better our buying power. You may have already helped our purchasing power by buying a case wine from Block78, if not – don’t be shy now.
WHY DOES BLOCK78’s WINE TASTE SO GOOD?
Well we would like to say that we massage the bottles, but that would be BS! We do use as much TLC as we can when making our buying decisions, we have experienced the bodgie bottles of wine and our intention is to make any occasion a memorable one when you open a bottle purchased from us and that is why bodgie wines need not apply!

Not yet, the associated costs would be too high and both domestic and international tax laws would apply making it impractical for now.
