Imagine you and your friends getting together for the Winter Shiraz Weekend and warming up in some of the most charismatic and warming cellar doors throughout the Geelong Wine Region.
Shiraz is the most notable grape variety that we produce here in Australia, and we Aussies have worldwide recognition for being one of the worlds finest producers when it comes to Shiraz. Some could even argue that we are the best.
Something else that you should know about Shiraz is that it has the ability to grow just about anywhere. Stylistically, the cooler climate style tends to exude more of the elegance and spice opposed to the fruit-driven richness that you get with McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley.
How do we know this? We are wine lovers too and with 25 years of experience we have learnt a few things along the way and that is why you can trust us to get you to the best wineries pouring the best Shiraz for the Winter Shiraz Weekend.
This annual event gets people out and about in their droves, you can simply book in with Wilsons Wine Tours and we can get you around to the wineries as you sample the fine Shiraz.
So how do we cater for you on such an occasion?
A customised package looks like the following:
- 9:30 AM – PICK UP
- 10 AM – FIRST WINERY
- 11 AM – SECOND WINERY
- 12 PM – THIRD WINERY
- 12:30 – LUNCH (NORMALLY AT THE THIRD WINERY)
- 2:30 PM – FOURTH WINERY
- 3:30 PM CHILL SESSION / ANOTHER WINERY – THE CHOICE IS YOURS
- 4:30 / 5 PM – DEPART FOR DROP OFF LOCATION
Everything with the exception of lunch and purchases are covered and we have plenty of water, snacks and even a customised music playlist that we can put together for you.
